Drew McIntyre has jokes.
In a tweet, McIntyre shared a picture of Simone Biles holding several of her medals from the Olympics. He captioned the post, “Me if f*cking with CM Punk was an Olympic sport.”
Biles is a seven-time Olympic gold medalist.
Earlier in 2024, Drew McIntyre won the Slammy Award for Social Star of the Year. He has routinely trolled CM Punk on social media, and he has also messed with him in various ways on WWE programming. McIntyre defeated Punk in his return match at WWE SummerSlam. He then mocked Punk on the August 5th episode of WWE RAW by taunting him with his beloved bracelet and naming his wife.
Drew McIntyre On Personal Rivalries
Drew McIntyre has made it clear that his on-screen rivalry with CM Punk stems from real issues. Speaking on Busted Open Radio ahead of WWE SummerSlam, he explained that personal rivalries were where the money was.
“That means a lot. I heard it a few times since I got here,” Drew McIntyre said. “The fans were asked, they didn’t even know I was there, ‘What do you think the main event should be?’ They said, ‘Punk and McIntyre.’ The deep, layered storytelling we can do it. Personal rivalries is where it’s at. That’s where the money is at. That’s what makes people feel. If they’re feeling something out of this Punk and McIntyre feud, they should because it’s real. It does mean a lot to me. If anyone is on after us, good luck, folks.”
