Jeff Jarrett raised the stakes for his match against Bryan Danielson on the August 7 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a promo on the August 3 episode of AEW Collision, Jeff Jarrett said that he wanted his bout against Danielson to be anything goes, with no time limit and no disqualifications. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat was previously announced as the special guest for the match.
Plus, though Kyle Fletcher wanted a shot at the title, AEW American Champion MJF agreed to have their match become an eliminator bout. With a win or a draw, Fletcher will earn a shot at the gold. MJF announced the news in a video message on AEW Collision.
The updated card for the August 7 episode of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
- AEW American Championship Eliminator: MJF vs. Kyle Fletcher
- No DQ: Jeff Jarrett vs. Bryan Danielson (Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat to be special guest)
- Katsuyori Shibata vs. Bryan Keith
