Ricky Steamboat will appear on AEW Dynamite.
AEW confirmed that Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will be the special guest at ringside for the match between Bryan Danielson and Jeff Jarrett. This will mark Steamboat’s return to AEW programming for the first time since AEW Revolution. There, he was the timekeeper for Sting’s last match, where he and Darby Allin faced the Young Bucks.
Danielson’s match on AEW Dynamite comes as part of his “Final Countdown” ahead of AEW All In. Danielson will challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at the show. He has put his career on the line in the match. Danielson previously made it clear that 2024 would be his last year as a full-time wrestler, and now he is going “all in” on his quest to win the gold.
Additionally, AEW announced that Katsuyori Shibata will face Bryan Keith on the August 7 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The announced card for the August 7 episode of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
- MJF vs. Kyle Fletcher
- Jeff Jarrett vs. Bryan Danielson
- Katsuyori Shibata vs. Bryan Keith
