TNA Emergence marks the return of the company’s most prolific match, Ultimate X.
The Ultimate X is a type of match which as its name reveals, is exclusively for the X-Division. It is a match featuring multiple stars competing at the same time.
To make the rules easier to understand, it is similar to a multi-men Ladder Match in WWE. There will be ropes stretched above the ring across the four corners in the form of an X. At the center point of the ropes there will usually be a championship hanging. The main objective is for the wrestlers to climb up to the ropes and try and crawl their way up to the center and grab the championship.
Last night during TNA iMPACT, it was announced that the Ultimate X match will be making its return at the TNA Emergence on August 30. The show will take place live from the Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. As of now, no participants for the match have been announced.
