WWE and Wingstop have teamed up for Summerslam 2024.
WWE continues to find new revenue streams, following last year’s record levels. At WrestleMania 40, they unveiled the first ever mat sponsor for the company. Logan Paul’s Prime advertised to be featured on the ring mats for the show, being placed in the center of the ring.
They have gone one better, adding Wingstop as another mat sponsor. WWE have signed a deal with Wingstop, who will officially be presenting Summerslam 2024. The deal includes two corner mat signage placements, marking a first-time ever deal for a WWE show.
They will join Prime on the ring mat for the event. The Prime logo will be in the center of the mat, with two Wingstop logos in the corner of the ring.
Grant Norris-Jones, Executive Vice President & Head of Global Partnerships for TKO, commented on the deal in a recent press release. They said:
“Alongside our partners at Wingstop, we are excited to unlock new branding opportunities from ring mat placements to a unique Presenting Partner campaign.”
The partnership also sees some WWE Superstars appearing at Wingstop restaurants for signings. Drew McIntyre and Bayley will appear at a Cleveland Wingstop on August 2nd, ahead of Summerslam 2024 on Saturday.
Wingstop will present the SummerSlam Kickoff Event on Friday. Other facets of the deal include a “customized video campaign” which will star WWE Superstars Rey Mysterio and Braun Strowman as the main stars. This will roll out across the United States, later this summer.
