The Rascalz visited the Treehouse on WWE NXT, and they made it clear that they wanted the gold.
The Rascalz have reunited in recent weeks, as TNA’s Trey Miguel and Zachary Wents have been appearing on NXT. Likewise, NXT star Wes Lee has crossed over to TNA as well. Together, the trio has picked up multiple wins. After previously teasing their interest in chasing the NXT Tag Team Championship, they firmly set their sights on the gold on the July 30 episode of NXT.
On Tuesday’s show, The Rascalz visited their treehouse, which was a staple of their run in TNA. Lee joked that he was confused, as it was Tuesday. Wentz noted that the treehouse could happen anywhere. Miguel explained that it was a magical treehouse. The trio celebrated their reunion and discussed their recent momentum. Miguel bought up the success that MSK had in NXT. Lee pointed out that they never lost the tag team titles, and Wentz said that their win over the champions in a six-man match meant that they deserved a title shot.
Lee said that he would text NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom to see what they said.
The Rascalz beat Frazer, Axio, and Je’Von Evans on the July 23 episode of NXT.
WWE then confirmed the match would happen on the August 6 episode of NXT.
