Britt Baker is here to remind Mercedes Moné who the face of the women’s division really is.
The former AEW Women’s Champion made her long-awaited return to the company at Forbidden Door. She interrupted Mercedes Moné’s TBS title celebrations, coming back after a ten-month hiatus from wrestling.
She won her return match against Hikaru Shida on AEW Dynamite. This worked to set up a match with Mercedes Moné at AEW All In, although the TBS Champion will have former NWA Women’s Champion Kamille by her side for the bout.
Britt Baker spoke about Mercedes Moné with Ringside Collectibles at San Diego Comic-Con. She was asked if the TBS Champion was a thorn in her side, to which the dentist claimed he was the thorn in Mercedes Moné’s side.
She warned her Wembley opponent that she is the real face of the AEW Women’s Division, calling the TBS Champion “full of shit”.
“I would flip that on you.” Britt Baker said. “I would say I’m more of a thorn in her side because now I’m back. The games are over; you can’t just look in the mirror and pretend. Now you have to live up to it, and you’re not the face of the division—I am. So, who’s the thorn in whose side? It’s me, because I’m the friendly reminder that you’re full of shit.”
When asked about Kamille‘s involvement, she said she didn’t see the partnership between her and Mercedes Moné coming. However, Britt Baker seemed up for the challenge, announcing “let the games begin”.
“I didn’t see that one coming. That’s something to take into consideration,” Baker said. “But let the games begin.”
