In-Ring Segment: 2024 King of the Ring Gunther

Gunther can’t get a word out. The crowd drowns Gunther out with boos every time he tries to speak. Gunther says he meant every word he said last week. Damian Priest and everyone here are bums. The only thing that matters to him is the prestige of this sport and the World Heavyweight Championship. Think about it. Why did they send Gunther out here first? It’s because everyone in the back knows Priest can’t cut it. Priest is a wanna-be. Gunther calls Priest and all of The Judgement Day as street trash.

Gunther knows Priest is here, and he wants to make him a generous offer: Priest should come to the ring and hand Gunther the championship. Priest can go back to the trailer park after that. World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest power walks to the ring. Priest gets in the ring and decks Gunther. Both men brawl. Referees and officials to try to break it up. Priest drops Gunther with a super kick. Gunther rolls out of the ring. Priest beats up some security guards and tosses one of them clear over the top onto everyone else. Priest and Gunther fight up the ramp.

After the break, Priest and Gunther are still fighting backstage. The fight spills into the parking lot. Gunther and Priest are finally separated.

Intercontinental Championship Number One Contender’s Match: Ilja Dragunov vs. Bron Breakker

Dragunov slaps Breakker. Breakker tackles Dragunov. Breakker ground and pounds Dragunov. Dragunov falls out of the ring. Breakker continues his assault. Dragunov destroys Breakker with a running knee strike. The fight spills out to the apron. Breakker and Dragunov take turns trying to suplex each other off the apron. Breakker manages to gourd buster Dragunov on the ring post. Dragunov lands with a sickening thud and tumbles out to the floor. Breakker laughs to himself as he enjoys the aftermath of what he’s done to Dragunov. Dragunov clutches at his ribs, writhing in pain at ringside.

After the break, Breakker drops Dragunov into a gutbuster. Dragunov kicks out. Breakker tries a powerbomb. Dragunov reverses it into a DDT. Both men get back to their feet. Dragunov and Breakker trade strikes. Breakker runs into a boot from Dragunov. Dragunov almost decapitated Breakker with the Constantine Special. Breakker kicks out. Face wash by Dragunov. Dragunov sets up a powerbomb, but his ribs give out on him. Breakker tries to fight out of it. Dragunov blasts Breakker with a short powerbomb. An exhausted Dragunov falls on top of Breakker. Breakker kicks out!

Dragunov goes up top. Breakker tries to cut Dragunov off, but Dragunov pushes Breakker off the top. Breakker leaps back up top and hits the Breakkenstiener. Dragunov kicks out. Breakker goes up top. Dragunov kicks Breakker’s legs out from under him, crouching him up top. Superplex by Dragunov. Dragunov pops up to his feet and drops the H-Bomb! Dragunov immediately clutches at his ribs and can’t make the cover. Breakker rolls out to the apron. Dragunov follows and drops Breakker on the apron with a DVD. Dragunov dives off the apron into a Spear from Breakker. Dragunov’s head hits the ring apron. Referee Daphanie checks on Dragunov and decides to stop the match.

Winner- Bron Breakker

After the match, the medical staff checks on Dragunov. The broadcast team confirms that Breakker will challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley talks to the Judgment Day. Dominik Mysterio brings up how Jey Uso wanted Rhea Ripley’s number. Finn Balor complicates matters by saying that they should handle Jey Uso permanently. Ripley says they should leave Jey alone, but after she walks away, inn says he knows what needs to be done.

Drew McIntyre is shown shaking hands with Adam Pearce backstage.

Lyra Valkyria (with Katana Chance and Kayden Carter) vs. Sonya Deville (with Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler)

Sonya Deville scores the win when Baszler and Stark interfere, as Valkyria gets tripped up on the ropes. Chance and Carter tried to fight them off, but Deville clinched the victory in the chaos with Deville’s Advocate.

Winner: Sonya Deville

Nikki Cross is featured in the latest Wyatt Sicks video, which shows her transformation into her new persona.

CM Punk’s Big Announcement

CM Punk comes to the ring and doesn’t waste much time, announcing that he is medically cleared. He calls out Drew McIntyre and says he wants to fight. McIntyre walks to the stage and says he’s been waiting for this fight, but tonight’s not the night, as this fight is bigger than Green Bay.

He taunts Punk with his bracelet, which has his wife’s and dog’s name on it. Adam Pearce comes out and gets involved as he says that McIntyre has been reinstated, so Punk will get his match against McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam. He says the match will be off if either one of them touches each other before SummerSlam, and the instigator will be suspended. Pearce brings out Seth Rollins by saying that he has a referee problem, and Rollins reveals that he will be the special guest referee for the match between McIntyre and Punk at WWE SummerSlam.

Dominik Mysterio bumps into WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan backstage.

In an interview, WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn is asked about Bron Breakker. He hears something and finds The Judgment Day attacking Jey Uso. Zayn makes the save.

Xavier Woods, Otis & Akira Tozawa (with Maxxine Dupri) vs. The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam & Rezar) (with Scarlett & Paul Ellering)

The Final Testament isolates Woods. He rallies and tags Tozawa. Tozawa fires up with a flurry of offense. Kross takes control. Otis takes the fight to Kross and the Authors of Pain.

Woods tags in again, but Kross ultimately pins him with The Final Prayer.

Winners: The Final Testament

Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers come out, and Gable tries to recruit Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxin Dupri by telling them to come back to their teacher. Otis turns him down, and they brawl. The Creed Brothers take the fight to Otis and Tozawa and lay them out.

The lights go down, and the sounds signal the arrival of the Wyatt Sicks play. The Wyatt Sicks come out, and Uncle Howdy sneaks in behind Gable. He hits Gable with a Sister Abigail.

Bronson Reed vs. Pete Dunne

The broadcast team recaps Dunne turning on Sheamus and attacking him after his match with Reed last week. Sheamus runs in before the bell and drops Dunne with a knee to the face. Sheamus brawls with Reed. He sends Dunne over the ropes and clubs him with the Ten Beats of the Bodhran. Dunne evades a Brogue Kick, and Sheamus hits Reed with one instead.

Result: No Contest

Backstage, Rhea Ripley criticizes the Judgment Day. Finn Balor says he’s had enough of being disrespected. He says that he and Dominik Mysterio will face Sami Zayn and Jey Uso tonight. Balor also says that he will face Gunther next week. Mysterio tries to speak up, but Ripley quiets him and drags him away.

Backstage, Sheamus says he’s still scratching his head about why Pete Dunne has a problem with him. He says they can have a pint together or fight it out in the ring.

Rhea Ripley Calls Out Liv Morgan

In-Ring Segment: Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio

Ripley calls out Liv Morgan, saying, “You want him, come get him.” WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan’s music plays, and she is on the stairs high in the crowd. Morgan says she won’t be coming down to the ring because she has some self-control. She says she can wait until SummerSlam. Morgan says she has feels for Dominik, and Dominik has feelings for her too. Morgan says that “gorgeous” men like Dominik don’t go for women who look like Rhea; they go for girls that look like her. Ripley shoves Dominik, and he grabs her arm as she tries to charge Ripley.

They argue, and Liv asks the crowd to let him speak. She tells Dominik to say those “three little words.” Dominik says he hates Morgan and asks if she’s stupid. Morgan smiles. Dominik says she ruined his life, and he doesn’t like her. Dominik says he can’t stand her, and she ruined everything. Morgan cries and walks away. Ripley whispers in Dominik’s ear and licks it. She then gives him a kiss on the cheek, and Dominik smiles at her.

The broadcast team recaps the brawl between Damian Priest and Gunther earlier in the show.

Zelina Vega comes to the stage, and her arm is in a sling after Shayna Baszler injured her last week. Cathy Kelley says Vega was hurt last week, and Vega says that won’t stop her.

Zelina Vega vs. Zoey Stark (with Shayna Baszler)

Stark targets Vega’s injured arm and controls the action. Vega rallies and takes the fight to Stark. Stark catches her with a dropkick off the ropes and gains the upper hand again. Vega keeps fighting and catches Stark with a DDT. Stark evades the Code Red and rocks Vega with a kick. Sonya Deville distracts the referee, and Baszler trips Vega up. Lyra Valkyria, Katana Chance, and Kayden Carter come out to even the odds. Vega hits Stark with her arm brace and hits the Code Red for the win.

Winner: Zelina Vega

Backstage, Xavier Woods asks Adam Pearce for a match with Karrion Kross next week, and he gives it to him. Drew McIntyre confronts Pearce and gets frustrated that he didn’t tell him about Rollins. Pearce says that McIntyre, Punk, and Rollins will be in the ring next week, as Rollins will get his referee instructions.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre are interviewed backstage. Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark interrupt, and they make it clear that they’re coming for the titles.

In a taped promo, Gunther discusses his upcoming world title match against Damian Priest. He says the World Heavyweight Championship needs him to create a new mountaintop. Gunther highlights the shortcomings of Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre and says Damian Priest’s foundation is crumbling. Gunther says he is the only one who can define the prestige of the World Heavyweight Championship and bring it to new heights.

Sami Zayn And Jey Uso Reunite

Zayn and Jey Uso make a special entrance as they walk to the ring from the backstage area and come through the crowd.

Sami Zayn & Jey Uso vs. The Judgment Day

Bálor and Jey lock up. Bálor grabs a side headlock. Jey escapes and gets floored by a shoulder block from Bálor. Jey leapfrogs over Bálor and lands an uppercut. Corner elbow strike, followed by a falling enziguri by Jey. Zayn tags in and gets trapped in The Judgement Day’s corner. McDonagh tags in and eats a clothesline from Zayn. McDonagh trips Zayn into the turnbuckle. Zayn manages to send both Bálor and McDonagh over the top.

An Arabian Press by Zayn takes out Bálor and McDonagh. Dominik Mysterio distracts the referee while Carlito sneaks up behind Zayn and sends him into the ring post. Zayn’s head crashes into the post, leaving Zayn in a heap. After the break, Judgement Day took turns working over Zayn. Zayn manages to tag in Jey. Jey clears the ring. Bálor and McDonagh take over after another cheap shot.

Jey tags in Zayn. Zayn sends McDonagh into the corner with an exploder. Zayn calls for the Helluva Kick. Dominik hooks his leg from outside. McDonagh sends Zayn flying with a standing Spanish fly. Zayn kicks out. Jey and Zayn blast McDonagh with the 1D. Bálor breaks up the pin. Bálor lands the Coup de Gras. McDonagh follows that with a moonsault. Zayn breaks up the pin. McDonagh sets up a superplex. Jey knocks McDonagh to the mat. Zayn hits a Helluva Kick out of nowhere. Jey follows that with the Uso Splash for the win.

Winners- Jey Uso and Sami Zayn

After the match, Bron Breakker hits the ring and obliterates Zayn with a Spear while Jey turns his back.
