Steph De Lander Comments On Potential WWE Crossover, Teases Unfinished Business

Steph De Lander discusses the crossover between WWE and TNA and whether she would be interested in getting involved.

De Lander previously had a run as Persia Pirotta in NXT before she was released in April 2022. She has been featured in TNA since March 2024, and she hs otherwise been active on the independent scene.

Speaking with TK Trinidad on Women’s Wrestling Talk, Steph De Lander was asked to share her thoughts on the collaboration between WWE and TNA.

“As far as WWE and TNA, I think it’s a cool time in wrestling because we’ve seen WWE so openly cross-promoting with other promotions in this way,” Steph De Lander said. “We’ve had Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry and The Rascalz, we’ve had Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame on TNA. We had AJ Styles and IYO wrestle in Japan this past week. There are so many moving parts, I think it’s great for everyone.

“I don’t see a drawback, I think it would be ignorant to say that there’s probably a part of TNA’s extreme success and how well they’re doing, I’m sure part of that could be this new buzz with the WWE crossovers. I think WWE is benefiting too, being able to take the biggest stars from TNA and use them on their show. So I feel like it’s one of those things where they scratch our back, we scratch theirs.”

Steph De Lander On Potential Crossover

Steph De Lander continued by discussing whether she would be interested in getting involved in the crossover. She stated that she would want to potentially do something with people she had unfinished business with.

“As far as whether or not I would be interested in doing that too, it’s all gonna come down to circumstance,” Steph De Lander said. “I do think there are some interesting story beats that could be explored at some point, and that’s what I care about more than anything else. I’m not really interested in, ‘Oh, I would have a cool match with whoever.’ I don’t really care about that. For me, it’s more, who there do I have unfinished business with?

“There actually is a couple of people that I do have unfinished business with, in reality and in storyline. So I think if I were to show up in WWE in any form, whatever happens, if I were to show up in WWE, it would definitely be something worth keeping your eyes on.”

Steph De Lander On Her Unfinished Business

Steph De Lander then highlighted her storyline with Duke Hudson in NXT and her tag team with Indi Hartwell as two possibilities.

“If you watched me in WWE, I was in the middle of a love storyline when I got released,” she said. “I was dating Duke Hudson. One week I was on TV and the next week I wasn’t. So I was in a situation where I have a boyfriend in NXT and I have a boyfriend in TNA, so that in itself is interesting.

“Also, I was tagging with my best friend, Indi Hartwell. We were in the middle of a tag team. She’s still in WWE, I’m in TNA. I think there’s something interesting there. There’s some meat to that story, but we’ll see what happens.”
