Nic Nemeth will be at TNA Slammiversary, despite his injury.
The former WWE superstar is scheduled to take part in a huge main event at the pay per view. He is booked in the TNA World Heavyweight Championship match. It will see him challenge Moose, Joe Hendry, Steve Maclin, Frankie Kazarian and Josh Alexander.
On the go-home show for Slammiversary, the competitors appeared at a contract signing for the match. However, Nic Nemeth was conspicuously absent, which fuelled discussion about his status in the match.
Luckily, Nic Nemeth appeared by video to explain his absence. He revealed that he suffered a partially torn labrum in a “back alley altercation”. While that meant he had to miss TNA Impact that week, he would be fit and clear to wrestle at TNA Slammiversary.
“Hi everyone watching and everyone in the ring. From Moose the coward champion to Josh who I have been looking forward to tearing it up with. Maclin, we’ve been through hell together and I’d love to do it again. Kaz, you can kiss my ass and Joe Hendry, I’m even rooting for you a little bit.”
“A quick update on my health. I was involved in a back alley altercation and through no one’s fault but my own I now have a partially torn labrum. First time in 19 years man and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. That is on me and me alone, I lost my cool and I apologize to the fans and even TNA management.”
Nic Nemeth Revealed His Is Medically Cleared
Despite sounding like he was going to miss out, Nemeth said he is medically cleared to compete.
“Even with a partially torn labrum I will be medically cleared in 2 days. I will be in Montreal and I will be at Slammiversary because you can bet your ass I wouldn’t miss it for the world. I will be fighting for the TNA World Title in the main event of Slammiversary and you better believe that I will be walking out the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Good luck to the rest of you.”
