TNA iMPACT Results – July 18, 2024

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap of last week’s episode.

NXT’s No Quarter Catch Crew defeated The Rascalz and KUSHIDA

  • Jonathan Gresham led KUSHIDA away from the match creating a handicap match. Charlie Dempsey scores the pinfall on Zachary Wentz for his team.

Following the commercial break, we return to The Rascalz’s Treehouse, and Wes Lee from NXT joins them for the first time in four years. Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel make fun of Lee’s new name. It’s revealed that The Rascalz will face No Quarter Catch Crew at Slammiversary.

Xia Brookside (w/ Spitfire) defeated Alisha Edwards (w/ Masha Slamovich)

  • Alisha Edwards gets distracted by Spitfire fighting with Masha Slamovich at ringside. Xia Brookside hits Edwards with the Brooksibomb to score the pinfall victory.

A video package plays for Mike Santana who makes it clear that he’s coming after JDC for costing him his spot in the Slammiversary main event this weekend.

Speedball Mike Bailey hits the ring and says Mustafa Ali took out his best friend Trent Seven so they need to settle this this evening. Bailey says he’s not leaving the ring until Ali comes out and fights him tonight.

Speedball Mike Bailey wants Mustafa Ali tonight on TNA iMPACT!

Mustafa Ali comes on the Tron and says he’ll only come out if Bailey goes through his entire security team. Bailey does so and takes down Campaign Singh as well. Ali’s music plays, but riot guards with billy clubs come out instead. One of them turns out to be Ali who attacks Bailey with the billy club from behind. Ali forces the referee to do a three count for a fake match that doesn’t count at all. The match for the X-Division Championship is still on at Slammiversary.

After the commercial break, Mustafa Ali is backstage and says his match with Mike Bailey at Slammiversary is off because he’s already beaten him. Ali is confronted by Santino Marella who tells him the match is still on and if he refuses to compete he will be fired. Marella says he hopes Bailey kicks his ass. Ali says what happens to Bailey on Saturday is on him.

  • JDC hits the ring and interferes as Jeff Hardy is about to hit a Swanton Bomb to cause a disqualification.

Jeff Hardy is viciously attacked following the match and is wheeled out on a stretcher.

Tom Hannifan has a sitdown interview with TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. You can check out that interview in the embedded video below.

The contract signing…

Santino Marella is in the ring with a table and six chairs to host a contract signing for the main event of TNA Slammiversary. Everyone comes to the ring except Nic Nemeth, who Frankie Kazarian attacked weeks ago. Marella points to the Tron and Nemeth cuts a promo via satellite who says he has a partially torn labrum. Nemeth apologizes to the fans and TNA management but says he’ll be medically cleared in two days and he will be fighting for the title in the main event. Nemeth says you better believe he’s leaving Montreal with the title.

Everyone signs the contract except for Joe Hendry. He’s interrupted by AJ Francis and Rich Swann. Francis says his match is the main event of Slammiversary. Francis says this will be a good match to open the show and everyone should make sure to shake his hand and thank him for the house once they are done.

Santino Marella asks them to get out of the ring, but Francis refuses. PCO shows up and attacks Francis and Swann. Now everyone starts brawling as Santino loses control of the situation. Joe Hendry hits Moose with a Standing Ovation through a table. Hendry finally signs the contract as TNA iMPACT goes off the air.
