FTW Champion Chris Jericho appeared on the July 17th episode of AEW Dynamite. He hosted a special edition of TV Time. Jericho highlighted his successful run in recent weeks by recapping how he, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith had taken out HOOK, Samoa Joe, and Katsuyori Shibata.
Minoru Suzuki interrupted, and he made his way to the ring with a contract in his hand. He told Jericho, “Next week,” and Keith read the contract, which revealed that Suzuki would challenge Jericho for the title on the July 24th episode of AEW Dynamite. Big Bill and Bryan Keith will be barred from ringside for the bout.
Suzuki previously rejected Jericho’s pitch to team up at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and said that he wanted to face him instead.
