Trish Stratus thinks John Morrison stole a moment from the fans at WrestleMania 27.
The WWE Hall of Famer teamed with Morrison and Jersey Shore star Snooki, beating Dolph Ziggler, Michelle McCool, and Layla in a tag team match
However, John Morrison gave Trish Stratus the cold shoulder after the match. He ignored her in celebration, angry at Stratus being on the card while his girlfriend Melina wasn’t.
Trish Stratus spoke to Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes about the incident. They asked her about the controversial moment with John Morrison at WrestleMania 27.
She explained WWE booked her in the match to promote Tough Enough, and she didn’t take anybodies spot. Trish Stratus explained that Morrison had taken a moment away from the fans with his actions, although the pair are “totally fine” now.
“It did get blown up. People were like, ‘Oh, I remember that moment,’ and the headlines made it a big deal. But it wasn’t cool, so it deserved those headlines. He felt whatever he felt, like I was taking a spot from someone, though I don’t know who he was referring to. But we did serve a purpose there.”
“I was very clear, saying, ‘Let’s be honest, I’m not taking anybody’s spot.'” Trish Stratus said. “They gave me the spot because we have a show, a WWE property, airing after WrestleMania called Tough Enough. I’m on it, they’re promoting it, and that’s how they’ve chosen to promote it. I’m just here to work. But I said, ‘What you’ve done ultimately is taken away a moment from the fans.’ It doesn’t matter what John thinks about Trish; it’s John Morrison and Trish teaming up, and they were victorious.”
“It was actually on Raw the next night in the rematch, and we were victorious. Fans were excited about these two characters coming together. It’s always neat when two characters you would never think would cross paths do. He just took away that moment from the fans, which is kind of dumb. Why would you do that? Our moments are for the fans, right? So, that was that, and I told them what’s what, and we’re totally fine now.”
