In recent years, former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has drawn some criticism for his storylines in AEW. There has been some discourse as to whether his opponents have come out of their feuds better than where they were when they started. Former Jericho Appreciation Society member Jake Hager recently shared his thoughts on the situation.
Speaking on NoShaveManCave, Jake Hager discussed Chris Jericho’s work in AEW.
“Here’s the thing that I like about him,” Jake Hager said. “Do you see Triple H putting over any new guys? Do you see Undertaker putting over any new guys, do you see any top guys that have been in the business as long as Jericho putting over anybody? Did Sting put over anybody? No. He’s trying to build. He understands it, and it drives me crazy that nobody talks about this.
“He’s putting over these guys. He’s putting the stamp on them. Did he make Orange Cassidy hot? I mean, come on. I’m biased, but I just think the fact that he is so unselfish with building this company, forget about it.”
