Stephanie Vaquer is coming to NXT.
On July 10, Shawn Michaels confirmed that Stephanie Vaquer was joining WWE, just hours after CMLL and NJPW announced that she was leaving both companies. The former CMLL World Women’s Champion then made her WWE in-ring debut at the live event in Mexico City on July 13. There, she beat Isla Dawn.
In a post on WWE’s Instagram, WWE shared Vaquer’s post-match comments. She said, “NXT, see you soon,” so it seems clear that she will be starting her WWE career in NXT.
WWE also shared a clip in which Vaquer met World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest backstage. Priest shook Vaquer’s hand and welcomed her to WWE.
Vaquer is also scheduled to compete at the NXT live event on July 14. There is no word on when she will make her WWE TV debut. WrestleZone will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
