Shawn Michaels says the NXT team is excited about the future of the crossover with TNA.
NXT and TNA have increasingly been working together in recent weeks, as stars from each have popped up on the other’s show. This comes at time when WWE is also working with NOAH, as well as GCW for Bloodsport.
During the NXT Heatwave media call, Shawn Michaels was asked about the crossover between NXT and TNA, as well as other collaborations.
“Yeah, look, just very excited about that collaboration, and honestly all of the collaborations that appear to be going on here at NXT and the WWE as a whole,” Shawn Michaels said. “It’s my understanding that AJ Styles will be working in Japan with [Pro Wrestling NOAH], and I know we’ve got some crossover with [Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport], so look, all of this is just a new time in the WWE, a new era I guess as people are calling it.
“Very excited about it, and we here at NXT are very excited about the TNA crossover as well. At this point in time, right now, not a whole lot to add, excited about how it’s all gone, excited about how it’s going to go in the future. But right now, I couldn’t speak to you about specifics on how we’re going to be moving forward on that.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of NXT Heatwave as it airs on July 7.
