Britt Baker Opens Up On AEW Absence, Challenges Mercedes Moné To Face Her At AEW All In

Britt Baker is back, and she has her sights set on Mercedes Moné.

During the July 6 episode of AEW Dynamite, Baker spoke for the first time since her return at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Baker addressed her lengthy absence and noted that she had dealt with two herniated disks and an injured hip labrum. She also revealed that she was hospitalized, as she had a transient ischemic attack, which she was told was a warning sign for a stroke. Baker said that she told Tony Khan she needed some time off, but she is now cleared, and she’s healthy.

She also thanked the fans for their constant support and said her plan now is to confront the newest female face of All Elite Wrestling. Baker then took several shots at TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and said that she hadn’t sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears to build AEW into what it has become.

Mercedes Moné then came out and confronted Baker. She said that she should have known Baker was going to try and come out to steal her moment.

Baker then challenged Moné to a match at AEW All In, to which Moné laughed and said Baker had to get in the back of the line. Baker fired back by asking her “what line”, and Moné warned that there was a price to pau for messing with her.
