Andrade will defend the WWE Speed Championship on the July 5 episode of WWE Speed.
The #1 Contender’s Tournament continued on Wednesday’s episode. After Xavier Woods and Nathan Frazer previously defeated Dijak and Akira Tozawa, the two stars faced off on July 3, and a title shot was on the line. Woods emerged victorious, as he clinched the win with the Limit break Elbow.
In doing so, he earned a shot at Andrade’s title. The match was announced for the July 5 episode.
Woods then commented on his victory and made it clear that winning the title would just be step one. He wrote that it was the kickstart that he needed so that he could move one step closer to the Intercontinental Championship and beyond.
Woods’ victory came after he beat Karrion Kross on the July 1 episode of WWE RAW. Meanwhile, Frazer will defend the NXT Tag Team Championship alongside Axiom against Chase U at NXT Heatwave on July 6.
