Chris Jericho made a surprise appearance at the CMLL event on June 28.
AEW star Chris Jericho appeared at the CMLL event on Friday and attacked Mistico. The former world champion was wearing a mask before he revealed himself.
In his backstage comments, Jericho challenged Mistico to a match, and the latter accepted. The bout is set for next week in Arena Mexico. This will mark Jericho’s first match for CMLL since 1995.
Jericho’s appearance comes one week after TBS Champion Mercedes Moné confronted Stephanie Vaquer at the CMLL show on June 21. AEW and CMLL have been working together in recent months, and CMLL will participate in the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 30.
