Damian Priest To Miss 6/28 WWE SmackDown Due To Travel Issues

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest is dealing with some traveling issues ahead of WWE SmackDown.

Priest has been advertised for the June 28 episode of WWE SmackDown, which will emanate from Madison Square Garden.

In a tweet on Friday, Damian Priest wrote that he was trying his best to make it, but plane issues were making it very difficult.

Update: Priest then wrote that the honor of main-venting The Garden would not be possible, as his plane had not taken off. He said that he was very disappointed, and he apologized.

Priest was advertised to defend his title against Jey Uso, likely in a dark match.

Priest is from New York, so competing at the legendary venue likely means a lot to him. Likewise, the New York fans are surely looking forward to him.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available, and we will have coverage of WWE SmackDown as it airs on June 28.
