Jacob Fatu made his WWE debut last Friday night on SmackDown, but it sounds like he almost came in under a different name.
The Samoan Werewolf Jacob Fatu made his long-awaited WWE debut last week during the closing minutes of SmackDown, saving Solo Sikoa from Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens.
Fatu’s debut on SmackDown was heavily praised by the WWE Universe on social media. However, a new report suggests that if WWE had initially had its way, the online reaction to the debut might have been very different.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE’s first idea for Jacob Fatu’s name was Caesar Sikoa. The company recently trademarked this name on June 19.
The Caesar Sikoa name was initially expected by many fans online as an evolution to Solo Sikoa. This would be a way to take him to the next level as the leader of the new-look Bloodline.
