Matt Riddle Wrestles At A Fan’s Birthday Party

Matt Riddle continues to appear in the most unexpected places.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion was released by the WWE last year. He quickly made the jump back to MLW, before appearing in NJPW at New Year’s Dash. He beat Hiroshi Tanahashi for the NJPW Television one month later, but dropped it to Zack Sabre Jr in April.

After appearing on a number of indie shows, Matt Riddle also made a special appearance at a fan’s birthday party.

The former WWE Superstar was spotted wrestling at a fan named Terrance’s birthday party this week. EatmyshortsPodcast posted some clips on Instagram of Matt Riddle making his entrance in the “arena” set up in the back yard of the venue.

Riddle shook hands and hugged with all the people in attendance, before heading to the ring for his match. A second clip showed Riddle brawling with his opponent at poolside. Both men tried to push each other in, before Matt Riddle hit him with an RKO as they both jumped into the water.

With Riddle unlikely to return to the WWE, and not appearing in NJPW for months, it is always shocking to see where he will turn up next. Riddle is currently advertised for MLW Blood & Thunder in Tampa on July 12.

Matt Riddle: Randy Orton Asks Me About Returning To WWE

Matt Riddle spoke with MuscleManMalcolm, and was asked to comment on the last time he talked to Randy Orton.

He revealed that Orton asked him about a potential return to the WWE, to which Riddle responded “One day”.

“I talked to Randy probably a week and a half, two weeks ago about an arcade, we talked about some other stuff, just hanging out,” Matt Riddle said. “He always asks me if I wanna come back, and I’m like, ‘Maybe one day.’ Right now, with the kid and everything, I’m enjoying my time, and I’m trying to get my life all together. Not that you’ll ever get your life together, but yeah, you know, things have been really good. I’m focusing a lot on myself and other things.”
