Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale will continue their rivalry at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
In a tweet, AEW shared a promo in which Kris Statlander challenged Willow Nightingale to face her in a tag team match at the pay-per-view. Statlander named STARDOM’s Momo Watanabe as her partner and said Willow could choose her own.
Update: Tony Khan then confirmed that Nightingale chose Tam Nakano to be her partner, and the match would be on the Zero Hour pre-show. Nakano is one of STARDOM’s most decorated stars. She is a former three-time Artist of STARDOM Champion and Goddesses of STARDOM Champion, among other accolades.
Nightingale and Statlander are former TBS Champions, and they were friends until Statlander turned on Willow. They have been feuding in recent weeks, and the animosity has continued to rise.
Statlander and Nightingale will clash in the semifinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament on the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.
