Adam Copeland Posts Injury Update, Says The Doctors Added Five Screws And Another Plate

Adam Copeland‘s road to recovery continues.

At AEW Double or Nothing, Adam Copeland defeated Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match to retain the TNT Championship. During the match, Copeland suffered a fractured Tibia, and he subsequently had successful surgery.

In a post on Instagram, Adam Copeland posted an update. He shared a picture of his foot and leg and noted that the splint was off. Copeland wrote that he had five more screws and another plate, and he joked that he was becoming Robocop.

Copeland recently said that he knew that his leg would not be ready for weight-bearing for eight to ten weeks. He also stated, once he started walking again, he would have a better gauge as to whether the recovery would take six or eight months.

Due to Copeland’s injury, AEW vacated the TNT Championship. A new champion will be crowned at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 30.

WrestleZone wishes Copeland well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
