Thunder Rosa Comments On Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Omission

Thunder Rosa will find a way to Wembley.

One of the new annual traditions of All Elite Wrestling is the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. The first edition of the tournament took place back in 2022. The winner of the Women’s bracket was Britt Baker, while her boyfriend, Adam Cole, won the Men’s tournament. The following year Willow Nightingale and ‘Absolute’ Ricky Starks won their respective tournaments.

This year, Tony Khan had decided to raise the stakes a little bit more. The winners of the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will earn a title shot at the world title of their respective divisions. The title matches will take place in Wembley at the All In pay-per-view. One of the popular stars who was not a part of the tournament was former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa.

Recently, while speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Thunder Rosa mentioned her dismay over the fact that one of her rivals, Deonna Purrazzo was part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament while she was not. Rosa also promised that she will find a way to be a part of the AEW All In pay-per-view no matter what.

“To add more insult to injury, I looked at [‘Dynamite’] this Wednesday [and] the Owen Hart [Tournament Bracket], and my name wasn’t even there,” Rosa said. “And I’m like ‘Okay, that’s fine.’ And then I see her damn name…She not only beat me on Saturday, but she took my place. But that’s okay…I don’t need a tournament to show that I can go to Wembley. One way or another, I’m going to go to Wembley. I don’t need the tournament to get another opportunity for the Women’s World Title, because I know I can do it again with no damn tournament. I’m above that.” [H/T WrestlingInc.]

Will Rosa make it to Wembley?
