Report: Pitches Have Been Made To Bring Back WWE Bad Blood PLE

A classic WWE pay-per-view may be returning this year, according to a new report.

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there have been pitches to bring back the Bad Blood premium live event. Johnson writes that the idea would be to use the name in October as a tie-in to the anniversary of the first-ever Hell in a Cell match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.

There have been creative pitches within WWE to bring back the old WWE Bad Blood PPV. The idea would be to use the title this October to tie into the anniversary of the first ever Hell In A Cell match back in 1997 between HBK and Undertaker. The actual anniversary is on October 5, which is a Saturday.

WWE first held Bad Blood in 1997, and it was headlined by the classic match between Michaels and Undertaker. The event returned in 2003, and it was held again in 2004. Bad Blood 2004 was headlined by a Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The event has not been held ever since. WWE turned Hell in a Cell into an annual show for several years, starting in 2009, but this tradition stopped in 2022.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
