AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 6/12, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on June 12.

According to Wrestlenomics, 681,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.23 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 790,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.28 rating in the same demographic.

AEW Dynamite faced stiff competition last night as they went head-to-head with game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks on ABC.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland. The Elite interrupts and announces Blood & Guts and tries to recruit Strickland into the group. Strickland declines and is saved by The Acclaimed.

MJF and RUSH brawled around the building setting up a match that will kick off next week’s show.

Mercedes Moné was also in action, defeating Zeuxis of CMLL to retain the TBS Championship.

The main event saw Will Ospreay defeat Rey Fenix to retain the AEW International Championship. Swerve Strickland and Ospreay had a stare-down in the ring as the show went off the air.
