A new WWE Bloodline addition appears to be on the horizon.
Following the recent arrivals of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, WWE has now filed to trademark for a similar term. According to USPTO, WWE has entered an application to trademark “Talla Tonga” under the entertainment services umbrella, which namely covers “wrestling exhibitions and performances.”
While the circumstances surrounding this trademark have yet to be revealed, it is widely speculated that it may be related to The Bloodline faction. Earlier this week, reports indicated Hikuleo, the half-brother of Tama Tonga, had recently wrapped up his work with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, with the belief that he is imminently headed to WWE. Given this, many pundits believe “Talla Tonga” could potentially be a new ring name for Hikuleo in WWE.
Hikuleo, now 33 years old, is a former STRONG Openweight Champion. He, along with El Phantasmo, have also held both the IWGP and NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships. Outside of NJPW, Hikuleo has also made notably appearances in All Elite Wrestling and Impact Wrestling (now TNA) in 2021 and 2022.
It’s also worth pointing out that Hikuleo’s middle name (Tautuiaki Taula Koloamatangi) is a slight variation of the trademarked name. WWE also changed the spelling of Tanga Loa to Tonga Loa once he debuted on WWE TV.
The current version of The Bloodline is led by Solo Sikoa. He rose to this position in the absence of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Roman Reigns. Since taking the proverbial wheel, Sikoa has so far welcomed in the additions of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Hikuleo are all former members of Guerrillas of Destiny.
