Shawn Michaels Would Love To Wrestle Logan Paul, Seth Rollins If He Were 20 Years Younger

Shawn Michaels draws up some hypothetical matches for himself.

Shawn Michaels’ professional wrestling career spanned a number of decades and eras, including the New Generation, Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression, and PG era.

How would a prime Shawn Michaels perform in WWE’s new era though?

During a recent interview with The Schmo, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer assessed the idea, revealing which current talent he’d be keen on squaring up with.

“A guy like Seth Rollins, I think I could get in there with and do fantastic stuff,” Michaels said. “Cody [Rhodes] is another one. Logan Paul, I think he’s somebody that’s incredibly talented. There are number of guys that I look at and I think to myself, ‘Gosh, if you were 20 years younger, wouldn’t it be really cool [to wrestle]?'”

While Michaels often thinks about what a potential New Era talent match might look like for him, he remains quite content with his current position as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative.

“I’m very happy with what I’m doing,” Michaels said. “I think the future of the WWE is in great hands with where it’s going. I like my place behind the scenes now. We’re part of a generation that you sort of never say goodbye, but I’ve got no problem saying goodbye and I’m looking forward to the future.”

Michaels retired from in-ring competition in 2010 before returning for a one-off tag team match at the 2018 Crown Jewel event. There, Michaels and Triple H defeated The Brothers of Destruction (Kane and The Undertaker).
