This past Sunday Night was the NXT Battleground Premium Live Event. It took place inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time ever.
That was not the only thing happening for the first time ever that night. The Black and Gold Brand also crowned its first-ever Women’s NXT North American Champion at the Premium Live Event. It was in a ladder match, just like how the first ever Men’s NXT North American Champion was crowned. One of the participants in the Ladder Match was ‘Michin’ Mia Yim.
The only female member of The O.C, ‘Michin’ Mia Yim recently took to Twitter to share pictures of the wounds she suffered during the ladder match for the NXT Women’s North American title.
“Battle scars from #NXTBattleground ?,” ‘Michin’ Mia Yim tweeted.
Every female Superstar who participated in the match had a strong showing. For a moment, it seemed like Sol Ruca was going to climb the ladder to capture the title as she was hitting the Sol Snatcher on everyone she saw. But in the end, Kelani Jordan managed to climb up the ladder and she grabbed the title. Jordan made history by becoming the first ever NXT Women’s North American Champion.
Later in the night, Jordan celebrated with the host of NXT Battleground, Sexyy Red.
