Big E Sees A Main Roster World Title Win In Oba Femi’s Near Future

Big E has heaped praise onto Oba Femi after NXT Battleground.

The Nigerian star has been on a tear in recent months, as he bids to hold on to the NXT North American Championship. He took on Wes Lee and Joe Coffey at NXT Battleground, beating both men in a three-way match.

This followed another triple threat win on WrestleMania weekend, when he beat Dominik Dijakovic and Josh Briggs. He looks unstoppable, and Oba Femi looks to have a huge future in the WWE.

One more who agrees is former WWE Champion Big E. The New Day member hasn’t wrestled for over two years following a broken neck, but still found time to compliment Oba Femi on Twitter.

Big E said that Oba Femi is “maybe my favorite pro wrestler”, and predicted him to become a world champion on the main roster.

“Man, @Obaofwwe is incredible. Maybe my favorite pro wrestler on the planet right now. A main roster world championship should be in his near future. #NXTBattleground

Big E Says He May Never Be Medically Cleared

While a Big E vs Oba Femi would be the epitome of “big meaty men slapping meat” that match looks unlikely to ever happen.

This is because Big E may never return to the ring again, the former WWE Champion revealed. He wrote on Twitter about his two-year neck scans, following a broken neck suffered in the ring.

He said he is free of pain, happy and healthy, but may never get to wrestle again.

“Two year neck scans are in. Things are unchanged,” said Big E. “My C1 has healed fibrously but has not formed new bone. I’m not medically cleared and truthfully, I may never be cleared. But I am blessed to be free of pain, immensely happy and otherwise healthy. Life is good.”
