Trick Williams wants to wrestle Booker T, and will put his title on the line to do so.
The NXT Champion has been greatly buoyed by the WWE Hall of Famer’s support recently. His ad-libs during Trick’s entrance have greatly added to the character, are a reason why the NXT Champion is so popular in NXT.
They are clearly good friends, given Trick Williams wanting for Booker T to step back into a WWE ring with him. So much so that he’s willing to put up the NXT Championship in the match.
Trick Williams appeared on The Masked Man Show and spoke about wanting to wrestle Booker T. He added that the former WCW Champion is in the gym a lot, but the match is up to Shawn Michaels to put together.
Run it one time
“I already asked Booker (T), ‘Can we run it one time’ … He can still go. He’s in the gym all the time. He doesn’t slow down one bit. It’s up to him. It’s up to him, it’s up to Shawn (Michaels). If we can make this happen, I’m all game. I would put the title on the line. Oh yeah man!”
“I think he got one more in him and bro, that would be the hugest honor for him to run it with me. I wouldn’t complain if nothing else happened.”
Booker T last wrestled for WWE in 2023. He was a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match, and was eliminated by Gunther after just 42 seconds.
The former World Heavyweight Champion also keeps in shape with his own wrestling promotion. Booker T still trains talent at his “Reality of Wrestling” school, while also stepping into the ring from time to time. However, his last bout for the promotion came in 2022, and he is basically retired from wrestling on a regular basis.
