Bollywood Boyz’ Gurv Finished Final WWE Match With A Dislocated Shoulder

Gurv Sihra has revealed that he suffered a serious injury in his final WWE match, and was fired while recovering in rehab.

As one-half of the Bollywood Boyz, Gurv spent five years with the WWE. This began with the Cruiserweight Classic, before the pair began appearing on NXT and 205 Live.

However, their greatest success came alongside Jinder Mahal. They joined the Modern Day Maharaja, helping him win matches and taking big bumps at ringside. They helped Mahal become the WWE Champion in 2017, and Gurv and Harv were featured regularly on Smackdown.

However, WWE fired the pair in 2021. They were let go alongside talents like Fandango, Tyler Breeze and Tony Nese. What made Gurv’s exit different was that he was recovering from an injury suffered in a WWE ring at the time of his release.

Gurv shared this on Twitter, responding to a clip of Grayson Waller’s debut in NXT. This was also Gurv’s final match in WWE, as he (fka Sunil Singh) and his brother (Harv, fka Samir Singh) were released a few weeks later.

At the time of his release, Gurv mentioned a dislocated shoulder in his post reflecting on his time in the company. Now, Gurv confirmed that he suffered the injury early on in the match with Waller. Gurv also mentioned that he was released by the WWE three weeks later, while still in rehab for his shoulder.

“Wow. This was my final match in WWE. I finished this match w/ a dislocated right shoulder. It came out of socket early in the match & I was fighting my way through the pain. The old school mentality kicked in “fight through” 3 weeks later I was fired while in rehab. Gurv.”

The Bollywood Boyz won the 24/7 Title a combined nine times. They last teamed with Jinder Mahal at WWE Superstar Spectacle, an event made specifically for the Indian market. Their last match together was on the May 21 episode of 205 Live, losing to August Grey & Ikemen Jiro.

The Bollywood Boyz has wrestled since leaving WWE, including for AEW on Dark in 2022.
