Report: More Details On TNA Departures, Upcoming Events

A new report provides an update on the backstage changes in TNA.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that TNA is making changes. RD Evans and David Sahadi, among others, had left the company. Evans resigned and Sahadi and others were let go.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) confirmed the departures and noted that Sahadi would be replaced. Furthermore, Sapp confirmed that Lou D’Angeli was let go. D’Angeli had worked as the VP of Marketing at Anthem Sports Group, and he was seen as a key reason why CM Punk spent time at TNA shows in recent years.

Another departure, though not named, was also confirmed. These moves were described as Anthem “wanting to go in a new direction”, hoping to increase their effectiveness with live events.

Additionally, Sapp writes that TNA has a set of TV tapings lined up for late August, though it has not been confirmed yet.

WrestleZone will have more information as it becomes available.
