In a bit of shocking news, it sounds like Chad Gable‘s WWE days could be numbered.
The leader of Alpha Academy has been a fixture of WWE RAW programming for the last several months, but if a new deal doesn’t get worked out, it appears to be coming to an end.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Gable’s WWE contract is set to expire next Friday. As of now, no new deal has been reached between the two sides.
While WWE is interested in re-signing Gable, the wrestling and MMA industries reportedly also want to book him if he becomes a free agent.
Gable’s current storyline on RAW will seemingly have to pay off this Monday if a new deal isn’t reached. This would see Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri rise against Gable and leave The Alpha Academy behind.
There have also been teases in recent weeks about a possible alliance between Gable and The Creed Brothers. But if a new deal isn’t reached, that clearly isn’t happening.
