Jake Hager is reportedly no longer with All Elite Wrestling.
According to Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.net, Hager’s contract with All Elite Wrestling has recently expired, making him a free agent. The decision to allow Hager’s contract to expire was reportedly mutual.
Jake Hager was an early member of the All Elite Wrestling roster, debuting in the closing moments of the first-ever episode of AEW Dynamite in 2019. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was heavily involved in two of Chris Jericho’s factions, The Inner Circle and the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Hager has been on the mind of wrestling fans today on social media thanks to a post on social media from Drew McIntyre where he made fun of Damian Priest’s promo skills, comparing them to Hager. You can check out that tweet embedded below:
Hager’s last match with the company took place on Rampage back in February, losing to Roderick Strong. The event took place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which is the same state where Hager attended college.
