Chad Gable had a run as a popular babyface on WWE RAW, but he says that being a heel is easier, as he is just being himself.
Speaking with TNT Sports, Chad Gable discussed his current run as a heel.
“It’s certainly easier, I’ll tell you that much. Most people probably identify with the fact that it’s easier to get people to hate you than it is to like you,” Chad Gable said. “But it is, at least this version of it, believe it or not, is probably the closest to maybe my real personality than anything else I’ve done [laughs]. Not to say that I’m a jerk, but I am a very kind of hard-nosed, disciplined human being in real life. If you asked anyone close to me, they would tell you the same.
“Now, I don’t necessarily talk to them the way that I talk to Alpha Academy right now, but they also do know that when it comes down to the things that I take seriously, which is training, fitness, anything that I apply that discipline to, they don’t interfere in that part of my life because otherwise those tendencies in me do come out, and they might catch me a little crankier than I normally would be, when I’m just having my coffee or something. So it’s a very real part of my personality, which is cool.”
Chad Gable: There’s Zero Stress
Chad Gable went on to explain that there is zero stress with his promos these days, as he is just being himself. He noted that it’s resonating because people are seeing something from him that they have been waiting for.
“I told Otis, when we’re doing some of this character work and stuff on TV that we’ve been doing lately, it’s so fun to me because there is zero stress or thinking involved,” Chad Gable said. “I don’t even, when I’m going through and working through some of these promo segments or interviews, I don’t think at all.
“It just comes out, and I’m like, man, that feels good because I’m not even working now. I’m just being me, and it feels like it’s resonating because people are seeing something from me now that they’re like, man, we’ve been waiting to see this.”
Kurt Angle recently said that he thinks the Kurt Angle formula will still work for Chad Gable. Check out his comments here.
