  • Nia Jax hit Bianca Belair with the Annihilator to advance to the finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament.

Kayla Braxton interviews Nia Jax in the ring after the match. Jax calls out Lyra Valkyria, who’s sitting in the front row, and says she just buzzed through Bianca Belair the same way she buzzed through Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley. Jax says she’s going to buzz right through Valkyria tomorrow, and at SummerSlam, she’s going to be Queen and Champion.

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory are backstage. The Grayson Waller Effect is up next.

Bianca Belair is backstage icing her knee. Tiffany Stratton walks by and mocks her for the loss. She’s then approached by Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, who give her grief for her injury. Belair stands up to confront them and is quickly joined by her tag team partner Jade Cargill, and LeRae and Hartwell back down. Cargill says it seems like they want their wigs split, and she’ll go talk to Aldis.

The Grayson Waller Effect on WWE SmackDown

The Grayson Waller Effect is in the ring. Austin Theory goes to introduce LA Knight, but Carmelo Hayes comes out instead. Hayes says he appreciates the introduction, but he had to stop them because it sounded like they were describing him. Hayes runs down his list of accomplishments as Theory goes to remind him about what happened the last time the two of them were on SmackDown.

Melo says people like them need to stick together, and Waller agrees, saying he would be a way better guest than LA Knight. Melo says the veterans are trying to take them out. Theory takes a shot at Bobby Lashley. Melo says Lashley and Baron Corbin are selfish egomaniacs. Melo says LA Knight is a veteran who hasn’t accomplished anything.

Grayson Waller says Knight can’t win the big one. LA Knight comes to the ring. LA Knight says he’s going to keep this short and sweet because he has better things to do. Knight says if they keep knocking on his door, this dog is gonna bite them and remind everyone whose game it is. Knight goes to leave but is jumped by Hayes. Waller and Theory join in, and it’s a three-on-one attack until The Street Profits come out to make the save and clear the ring.

A video package plays, hyping up the SmackDown debut of Blair Davenport.

A tease for SummerSlam…?

A video plays from yesterday’s WWE King and Queen of the Ring Kickoff show, in which Logan Paul says he won’t use the brass knuckles against Cody Rhodes and hands them over to Michael Cole to keep.

Cody Rhodes is seen walking backstage and briefly runs into Randy Orton, teasing a potential SummerSlam match between the two men if Orton wins the King of the Ring Tournament.

Tama Tonga is shown backstage getting ready for his match as Paul Heyman stands several feet behind him, looking fearful and hesitant.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes comes to the ring. Cody Rhodes is immediately interrupted by Logan Paul before he even gets a chance to speak. Logan Paul says Cody got played and says he’s walking out of Saudi Arabia with the Undisputed WWE Championship tomorrow. Paul says Cody might have the edge in experience, but he’s smarter than him. Paul says the bleach in Cody’s hair is making him dumb.

Logan Paul says he’s a better athlete and performer than him, and he won’t use the brass knuckles in the match tomorrow. Cody Rhodes says Paul is just a scared kid who’s afraid that someone is going to see him as a fraud in WWE. Rhodes says he doesn’t believe that and knows how good he is. However, Rhodes believes Paul has a case of imposter syndrome, and he believes Paul has another pair of brass knuckles on him right now. Paul says he’s not a liar, and there’s no need to do this.

Logan Paul is a liar

Rhodes says he’ll give Paul a chance to prove himself. Rhodes asks a WWE referee to come in and check on Paul. Logan Paul wants the referee to check Cody first. The referee checks Cody and says he’s clean. The referee checks Paul and finds a pair of brass knuckles in his pants. Paul says he doesn’t know how those got there and says they are his brother’s pants. Paul says he wasn’t being truthful, but now he will be.

Logan Paul claims he brought them out for protection. Paul tells Cody to keep them because he’s going to beat him tomorrow, fair and square. Rhodes says the difference between them is that Paul uses things as a crutch, but the WWE Championship is Cody’s whole life and everything he’s ever wanted to be. Cody says the Rhodes are as real as real gets.

Rhodes doesn’t think of Paul as a YouTuber; he sees him as a WWE Superstar. But until he dedicates himself to the craft full-time, he will never be on his level. Rhodes says he’s going to beat Paul so badly that he’ll regret ever stepping foot into the ring with him.

Randy Orton is backstage with Bryon Saxton. Orton says ever since Tama Tonga stepped foot in WWE, he’s proven that he’s vicious, unhinged, and unpredictable, but Orton’s made a career out of being those things. Orton admits The Bloodline has the numbers, but Orton has overcome the odds before, and he will again as he hits Tonga tonight with an RKO.

Bayley is walking backstage and heading to the ring but runs into Nia Jax, who tells Bayley to keep that title clean until SummerSlam.

Who is the next team to challenge A-Town Down Under?

The Street Profits and B-Fab are backstage with Kayla Braxton. Street Profits are celebrating their win from earlier tonight and are interrupted by DIY. Johnny Gargano says they are on SmackDown to win the WWE Tag Team Titles. Ciampa says if that means going through The Street Profits, so be it. Ciampa pours out Montez Ford’s drink, and DIY walks away.

WWE Women’s Champion Bayley defeated Chelsea Green (w/ Piper Niven) in a non-title match

  • Bayley hits Chelsea Green with the Rose Plant to win the match via pinfall.

Piper Niven attacks Bayley after the match and lays her out with multiple Sentons.

AJ Styles comes into Nick Aldis’ office. Styles says he won’t take up too much of his time. Styles says he was one second away from beating both Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. AJ asks Aldis for one more chance with whoever wins between Rhodes and Logan Paul.

Styles says he needs this. Aldis says if he’s asking him personally, absolutely. But professionally, he can’t give him what he wants and says the title shot needs to be earned, and that takes time. Styles says he doesn’t have time, and Aldis says he’s sorry as Styles storms out.

A video package plays hyping up Andrade El Idolo’s SmackDown debut.

Legado del Fantasma is backstage, and Humberto says he hates Andrade and that he should have stayed on RAW. But Elektra Lopez and Santos Escobar attempt to be the voice of reason and perhaps let bygones be bygones.

The Bloodline is a man down tonight on WWE SmackDown

Solo Sikoa is backstage with Paul Heyman. Heyman says they couldn’t get Tonga Loa over to Saudi Arabia because Heyman couldn’t get a pass to move him across the country. Heyman says these are dangerous people, and this is why Roman Reigns didn’t bring them in. Solo Sikoa says Heyman needs to deal with these issues until Reigns returns. Heyman is about to say what the problem with Tama Tonga is, but Tonga shows up and yells at Heyman, leaving the Wise Man shaken and worried.

Randy Orton defeated Tama Tonga (w/ Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman) in a King of the Ring Semi-Finals Match

  • Randy Orton hits Tama Tonga with the RKO to score the pinfall victory.
