The Watch List looks at what matches you should be watching, and they are recommended by today’s professional wrestling stars.
WrestleZone recently spoke with Darby Allin, who highlighted his work with Sting and against Samoa Joe. Allin picked these names because he felt they showed who he is as a wrestler.
“There’s a few. I’d say Sting’s last match, but then I’d also say any of my matches with Samoa Joe. Just the David-Goliath-like aspect of things,” he explained. “That’s who Darby Allin is — the guy that will wrestle anybody, but you never know what he’s capable of doing. So any of those two things, I feel is a good example of showing who Darby Allin is.”
Darby and Joe have worked together three times, all in AEW. The most recent match in February 2023 saw Joe beat Darby for the TNT title, which Darby had won from him the previous month.
