AEW Collision Results – May 18, 2024

This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with in-ring action between Will Ospreay and Shane Taylor.

Will Ospreay defeated Shane Taylor (w/ Anthony Ogogo)

  • Will Ospreay hits Shane Taylor with Stormbreaker to score the pinfall victory.

Following the match, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett try to attack Will Ospreay, but Ospreay gets the better of both of them and makes a quick escape.

A video package plays hyping tonight’s trio match, in which three men from Team AEW take on Lance Archer and The Righteous.

Jon Moxley is backstage with Claudio Castagnoli. Moxley talks about his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator Match with Konosuke Takeshita at Double or Nothing. Castagnoli talks about how he hates cutting a promo for the camera as he’d much rather do his talking in the ring with his fists.

HOOK defeated Johnny TV (w/ Taya Valkyrie) in an FTW Qualifier Match

  • HOOK locks Johnny TV in Redrum to win the match via submission.

Katsuyori Shibata defeated Rocky Romero in an FTW Qualifier Match

  • Katsuyori Shibata hits Rocky Romero with PK and locks him in a Figure Four leglock to score the victory by submission.

“The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith defeated Boulder (w/ Iron Savages) in an FTW Qualifier Match

  • Bryan Keith hits Boulder with a forward-flipping Stunner from the turnbuckles to score the pinfall victory.

HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata, and Bryan Keith will face each other in a three-way match on Dynamite to determine the number one contender for Chris Jericho’s FTW Championship.

The Bastard PAC isn’t worried about Bullet Club Gold on AEW Collision

PAC is backstage. The Bastard says he doesn’t care what Bullet Club Gold has to say and calls them funny. PAC says he hasn’t felt a thing in weeks, so he can’t be bothered to care about those idiots. PAC lays out a challenge to make him care and try harder.

Bullet Club Gold appears on the stage with a beaten-down PAC. Jay White says he bets PAC cares now, and the trio leaves PAC lying on the stage.

Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, Killswitch, and Mother Wayne are backstage. Cage informs Nick Wayne that he will face Swerve Strickland this Wednesday on Dynamite. Wayne says that when Strickland attacked him last year, he wasn’t ready, but with Cage’s teaching, he’s ready now. Wayne says he can beat Swerve on Wednesday alone.

Orange Cassidy defeated Isiah Kassidy

  • Don Callis watches the match from backstage as Trent Beretta appears in the front row to watch from the crowd. Orange Cassidy hits Isiah Kassidy with Beach Break to score the pinfall victory.

Trent Beretta says that being at ringside, it’s blatantly obvious to him that he’s a better pro wrestler than Orange Cassidy. Beretta says the only reason Cassidy was able to beat him was because he cheated. Beretta challenges Cassidy to a straight-up wrestling match at Double or Nothing. Cassidy attacks Beretta before being separated by security.

Serena Deeb defeated Anna Jay

  • Serena Deeb locks Anna Jay in the Serenity Lock to win the match via submission.

Toni Storm mocks Serena Deeb

Luther comes out after the match, steals Deeb’s flag, and takes it to the stage. Mariah May joins Luther on the stage, as Toni Storm undresses behind the flag before wrapping it around her naked body. Storm dances about until Deeb comes after them and chases them into the backstage area.

A video package plays highlighting the feud between Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage heading into Double or Nothing.

Nick Wayne defeated Jack Cartwheel

  • Nick Wayne hits Jack Cartwheel with Wayne’s World, followed by Swerve Strickland’s Housecall to score the pinfall victory.

Bryan Danielson and FTR defeated Lance Archer and The Righteous

  • FTR hit Vincent with Shatter Machine to score the pinfall victory for their team.

Lance Archer and The Righteous attack following the match with steel chairs. Daniel Garcia hits the ring with a chair of his own to even the odds as AEW Collision goes off the air.
