WWE kicked off the Queen of the Ring Tournament on the May 6 episode of WWE RAW, and three competitors advanced.
In a first-round match against Natalya, former WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY kicked things off with a big win, thanks to some high-flying attacks. In the end, Sky was able to hit a big double knee strike and then hit an Over the Moonsault for the win. Sky will face either Shayna Baszler or Zelina Vega in the next round.
Later in the night, it was Zoey Stark’s turn to advance against Ivy Nile. Stark walked out on top after pulling Nile off the top rope and causing her to tumble down. Stark then hit a big half-nelson suplex before ending the match with the Z360.
In the third and final women’s tournament match of the night, Lyra Valkyria took down Dakota Kai to not only mark a successful WWE RAW debut, but also punch a ticket into the next round of the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
The match came to an end after Valkyria hit the Nightwing on Kai for the victory. She will face Zoey Stark in the next round.
