WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker is a seven-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He has successfully defended the championship against some of the top stars in the promotions such as Batista, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and many more.
Recently, while speaking on the Six Feet Under with Mark Calloway podcast, The Undertaker mentioned that he prefers to chase the championship rather than defend it. The WWE Hall of Famer mentioned that he prefers the chase as the storyline is intriguing to him.
“Yeah. I mean, it obviously is so rewarding to have the title and know that the company feels like you’re the guy or what not. For me it was always much more fun getting right there and then figuring out how they’re going to keep it out of my grasp. And then continue to add to, ‘Okay, well, you got away this time. So now we’re going to go to a Cage. And then the Cage didn’t work so now we’re going to go to the Cell. And we’re going to do these different things.’ But yeah. My character being what it was it just, it really never needed the title. Obviously, I’m very proud of my title runs or my, the number of times that I won the title. But, it was always the… It was always the chase,” The Undertaker said.
Cody Rhodes was someone who was chasing the top prize in the company for nearly two years. He finally finished the story at WrestleMania 40.
