Paul Heyman dropped a bombshell on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, revealing he hasn’t spoken to Roman Reigns since WrestleMania 40.
In a backstage segment during Friday’s episode, Heyman approached SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to ask him to remove Randy Orton and Kevin Owens from their match at Backlash against The Bloodline. Aldis denied the request, and said he wouldn’t be doing that, and didn’t understand why he should.
Heyman explained that he was trying to save the pair of them, and Aldis asked if this was a direct order from The Tribal Chief. Heyman hesitated, and then after a back-and-forth about The Bloodline’s power struggle, Heyman revealed he hadn’t spoken to Roman Reigns since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
A shocked Aldis asked how Reigns could have pulled himself out of the WWE Draft if that were true, to which Heyman revealed that Reigns didn’t, but Paul did. Heyman said that he is trying to save Roman from what is happening now in The Bloodline, but Aldis no longer wanted to hear it.
