Report: Seth Rollins Re-signs With WWE

Seth Rollins is sticking with WWE for a while.

According to a report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Seth Rollins has signed an agreement to remain in WWE. It was noted that Rollins agreed to a “multi-year deal for big money” and he’ll stay with the company for many years.

In regards to the contract talks between Rollins and WWE, one source speaking to Fightful mentioned WWE was “not going to let him go.” Another WWE source stated they wish the deal was done sooner, but now this ensures Rollins will be in WWE for the next several years.

Seth Rollins reportedly had a lot of outside interest, but it’s unknown if he received any offers outside of WWE. Rollins’ existing deal was set to expire in June. He’s currently out of action due to surgery to correct a knee injury. Rollins was dealing with a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus that he suffered in January.

The road to recovery is never a straight line

Seth Rollins spoke to ESPN about the status of his knee ahead of WrestleMania 40. Rollins said that despite dealing with an MCL and meniscus injury, his knee was feeling “pretty good.”

“You know, it’s feeling pretty good,” Rollins said. “I made a point to get out into some non-televised events to test it out; I wanted to know going into WrestleMania what I was dealing with. I felt confident going through those matches. They were tag team matches with Cody Rhodes, so it was a little bit of a lighter work load, but I wanted to know how the knee was going to do. I wanted to know what the MCL was going to feel like, the meniscus, and there were some hiccups along the way, as there are, any athlete will tell you the road to recovery is never a straight line.”
