Ric Flair Is Not Happy About Being Excluded From New ‘Who Killed WCW’ Documentary

Ric Flair is not thrilled about the latest documentary about the death of WCW.

The topic of WCW going under is one of the most talked about events in wrestling history. The company went under in 2001, after Time Warner merged with AOL and took Monday Nitro off the airwaves.

With Ted Turner no longer bankrolling the promotion with its prime time slot, the company quickly folded. It was then sold off to WWE for incredibly cheap, although there were attempts by others to buy it. It was haemorrhaging money, due to financial mismanagement from the likes of Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo in the years prior.

A new four-part miniseries, titled “Who Killed WCW?” is set to be shown by Vice on June 4 at 10pm (EST) exclusively on VICE TV.

While it may be treading old ground, Ric Flair is not happy to not be included in this new documentary. “The Nature Boy” took to Twitter to complain about not be interviewed for the show, despite being a WCW legend. He also laments the fact that the show is made by “the same people who killed the company”.

On his Twitter post, Ric Flair said:

As Usual More Bullshit, No Interview With Ric Flair Who Was WCW, And Who Made Everyone There For 20 Years. Run By The The Same People Who Killed The Company. How Embarrassing!! A Documentary About WCW Without Me! And According To @EBischoff On@83Weeks, I Was The Greatest WCW Wrestler, And I Made Everyone In The Company As There Wouldn’t Be Anyone Without Me. Diamonds Are Forever And So Is Ric Flair! For You Haters, Please Go To 83 Weeks With Eric Bischoff If You Have A Problem!
