It doesn’t look like fans will see Powerhouse Hobbs on AEW TV anytime soon.
According to multiple reports, Hobbs is dealing with an injury coming off of his April 24 match on AEW Dynamite against IWGP World Champion Jon Moxley. F4WOnline.com’s Bryan Alvarez (via Wrestling Observer Live) reported Hobbs suffered an injury. The early belief was that Hobbs suffered a knee injury in the match.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) also confirmed the injury to Hobbs. In addition, it was classified as a ‘significant’ injury, and Hobbs is not expected back any time soon.
Fightful also offered more details about an injury to Julia Hart, the former TBS Champion. It was noted that Hart has had a few injuries issues recently, and she is expected to be off of television. Fightful reported the specifics are unclear, but the early belief is that she may need surgery.

Hobbs recently spoke to Adrian Hernandez about that moment and reflected on how he felt about the match.
“It was awesome,” Hobbs said. “The match went unbelievable, and to be told to keep going and going, and having that energy from the fans. And you know, the fans will make you. They’ll tell you what they want and they wanted more of it. I believe that was the best big-man match in the history of this company so far.”
Miro was ultimately victorious that night, however, Hobbs went on to join The Don Callis Family to feud with the likes of Chris Jericho and Sting.
