Roxanne Perez needs to wrestle AJ Lee before her career is up.
AJ Lee is an iconic part of the history of women’s wrestling in WWE. She was the precursor to the women’s revolution, and her performances changed how women were viewed in the company.
However, she retired from wrestling in 2015. AJ has done some acting as a wrestled named Elle Dorado on Heels, but she has not competed since the Raw after WrestleMania 31.
Roxanne Perez spoke with Ring The Belle, and was asked about her attempt to bring AJ Lee out of retirement for a match. The NXT Women’s Champion revealed that she is trying her best to get the former WWE star back in the ring, and that she can’t retire until she faces her hero in a wrestling match.
“You know, hopefully one day she’ll come back, and maybe we can all do something together. That would be like my dream. I can’t retire until I have a match against AJ Lee, so you know, I can’t be 80 years old wrestling either.”
CM Punk Doesn’t Think AJ Lee Will Return To The Ring
Roxanne Perez may be upset at what CM Punk thinks about AJ Lee returning to WWE. Punk is the former Divas Champion’s husband, with the pair tying the knot on the day he was fired from the WWE in 2014.
CM Punk was a guest on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani last month. He was asked about the possibility of Lee returning to the ring in the future. He said “probably not”, but that he was sure the door was always open for her to come back.
“Probably not. “I think there is [an open door], yeah. Selfishly, I would love it. But I’m her biggest fan, so I love everything she does.”
