WWE SmackDown (4/26) Draws Lowest Viewership Since December 2023

WWE SmackDown‘s viewership dropped on April 26.

Per Wrestlenomics via Programming Insider, SmackDown averaged 2.143 million viewers on Friday. This number is down from last week (2.333 million viewers), and it marks SmackDown’s lowest viewership since December 22, 2023.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.58 rating. This also marks a drop from last week (0.63 rating in the same demographic).

Friday’s episode of SmackDown marked the opening night of the 2024 WWE Draft. The show was up against the second and third rounds of the NFL Draft on Friday, as well as the NBA Playoffs.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a contract signing for the main event of WWE Backlash between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles.

There were four rounds of the WWE Draft tonight, which only saw five talents change the shows they were initially on.

A number one contender’s match between Naomi and Tiffany Stratton ended in a no-contest after the recently drafted Nia Jax interfered.

The main event saw Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defeat Carmelo Hayes. Rhodes and AJ Styles had a face-off to close the show.
