AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on April 24.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, 683,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.23 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 762,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.26 rating in the same demographic.
Dynamite once again faced stiff competition last night as the show went head-to-head with two NBA Playoff games on TNT. And as Meltzer noted, going live on the West Coast didn’t help matters either.

This week’s show kicked off with Chuck Taylor choosing Orange Cassidy over Trent Beretta.
Elsewhere on the show, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland defeated Kyle Fletcher in an Eliminator Match.
Will Ospreay won a Casino Gauntlet to earn the right to challenge Roderick Strong for the International Championship at Double or Nothing.
In the main event of the show, Jon Moxley defeated Powerhouse Hobbs to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The close of the show witnessed The Elite attack Tony Khan in the ring and left him lying to close the show.
