Jey Uso Feels He And Jimmy Uso ‘Let The People Down’ With Their WrestleMania 40 Match

Jey Uso assesses his WrestleMania 40 match against twin brother, Jimmy Uso.

In the summer of 2023, Jey Uso made it clear that he intended to separate himself from The Bloodline. Unfortunately for Jey, his twin brother, Jimmy Uso later made it clear that he wasn’t going to honor this wish. As such, Jey officially challenged his brother to face him at WWE WrestleMania 40.

During a recent interview with Gorilla Position, Jey addressed the showdown between him and Jimmy Uso, revealing a mix of emotions. While Jey is happy to have fulfilled their longtime dream of wrestling each other on WWE’s grandest stage, he also feels slightly disappointed in their overall performance.

“I kind of felt like we did let the people down because I wanted to go out there and have a straight-up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part, but let alone make sure the emotion part is there. It was just a time issue,” Jey said. “You just got to play your position on the team. That’s what happened. I’m still happy though. I got a singles match on WrestleMania with my brother. That’s a big picture. So I’ll always have me and him in the face-off at WrestleMania. I’m gonna frame a picture. It’s marked off our box. I just wish we could have went ham the way I know we can.”

Regarding the aforementioned “time issue,” Jey noted that he and Jimmy were informed of their match’s time being cut just moments before making their WrestleMania entrances. As a result, the brothers had to make some changes to their match plans.

“[We were told] ‘Yo, man, they went over this many minutes. Sorry, sorry.’ It’s all good,” Jey said. “Just go out there and handle business.”
